The council voted to appoint Councilman Ben Murray to a municipal unit strategic task force (MUST) charged with helping develop local income tax planning for 2028, which would be effective in 2029–2030. Auditor Jennifer explained the task force will bring together municipal and county financial officials; AIC encouraged that the county make the formal appointment at a public meeting and that meetings will produce reports before year-end.
