Board flags Thatcher Brook, SR1 growth-area mapping as conservation concern

During the workshop and other-business discussion, participants raised Thatcher Brook and an SR1 parcel as areas of environmental concern. A conservation participant noted Thatcher Brook has "attracted the attention of the state as an urban impaired stream" and that the state has urged action for years. Later a board member said an SR1 growth-area parcel near vernal pools should be re-examined under the comprehensive-plan map and implementation steps to avoid encouraging development in a resource protection area.
