Board awards Automarroll ditching project to Proposal 2 covering areas G–H

Staff reported the bid opening for the Automarroll project produced two options from the same contractor, identified the sections of the project (areas A–H) and recommended awarding Proposal 2 (areas G–H) because those sections most urgently need ditching and water diversion. The project engineer supported the recommendation and staff explained the grant funding was insufficient to cover higher‑priced areas E–F which had open‑bottom culverts. The board voted to award Proposal 2 and carry out work in the higher‑priority areas given available funding.
