County allocates $305,998 in CHIPS funding for highway projects
Act No. 245 authorized the allocation of $305,998.13 in additional CHIPS funding for county highway projects and directed specific budgetary increases and decreases in revenue and contracted services accounts.

The Legislature authorized allocation of an additional $305,998.13 in Consolidated Highway Improvement Program (CHIPS) funding for 2026. The Department of Public Works will apply those funds to County Road #46 contracted services and the County Administrator was directed to adjust the estimated revenue account (H.504.5197.5197.3501) and appropriation account (H.504.5197.5197.27008.41603) to reflect the change.
