The City of Slater council approved a revised noise ordinance after a reading of the updated text and a roll‑call vote. The ordinance sets a maximum sound level of 95 decibels for general hours and reduces the allowable level to 65 decibels during designated overnight periods (8 p.m. to 6:59 a.m. Sundays–Thursdays, with different weekend hours), measured from the nearest public property.
