Scott County Fiscal Court approved the appointment of Allen Neal as chief electrical inspector to replace Don Hawkins, who is retiring Oct. 1 after more than 30 years in the role. The court said Neal brings experience with code, education and leadership and recommended an eight-week overlap to allow a smooth transition.
