Fire Chief Larry C. Alcorn asked the Brownsburg Fire Territory Merit Commission on July 10 for authorization to hold a lateral hiring process to fill two open firefighter positions. Chief Alcorn explained the department has "only two open positions" and requested board authorization to proceed with a lateral hire.
