The full story
The Water Resources Council signed off on reimbursement for the Deep Run Subwatershed project after staff described the site's contributions to flood and sediment control. The project includes a 1.5-acre permanent easement (paid at about $15,000), an 800-foot grass waterway and two basins that together provide storage during major storms — staff estimated the system could hold just over 1,000,000 gallons from an adjacent 80–90 acre field and modeled a phosphorus load reduction of roughly 300 pounds.
