Dennis Raine, the district’s prescribed fire program manager, briefed the board on pile‑burning and ridge‑top prescribed fire activity since December 2025. He reported completion of hundreds of piles in targeted areas (285 piles at Bear Ridge among others), identified green (unburned) piles rolled into the fall list, and explained operational techniques including controlled back‑burning and hoseline placement.
