Jackson County Commissioners adopted Resolution 2026-61 on Aug. 24, 2026, enacting a countywide burn ban effective immediately. Vice Chairman Rhet Johnson moved to adopt the resolution; Commissioner Kirk Butler seconded the motion, and Chairman Mike Wallace, Butler and Johnson voted aye.
