The board heard Ben Cole’s remarks about priorities for land use and housing and then approved a slate of appointments including Ben Cole as land services director by voice vote (28 yes, 1 absent).

Ben Cole introduced himself to the board as a local resident (Barron graduate, Army veteran and former city superintendent) and outlined priorities should he be confirmed as land services director: protect the county's land-use ordinance, consider housing access on rural properties, and research data center issues. "I look forward to working with all of you," Cole said.
