Downtown Moorhead Inc. updated the county on a multi-block downtown redevelopment plan, underpass and civic plaza projects, the FM Center hotel conversion and potential sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) industry interest at a Makara shovel‑ready site.

Matt Lysath of Downtown Moorhead Inc. told the Clay County Board the organization's priority is to reactivate the downtown loop district with mixed-use development, public spaces and housing. "50% of Morehead residents have a library card now," Lysath said while describing the loop's role in driving foot traffic (he credited the library and other activations for rising downtown activity).
