Josh Shervin, director of beach operations, presented options for six gateway signs with two color schemes and a value‑engineered version of Commissioner Johns’ original concept. The value‑engineered sign reduced cost by about $30,000 versus the original and was the design the board directed staff to advertise. “That particular sign with installation is $57,335, which is about $30,000 less than the original concept,” Shervin said while explaining procurement steps.
