The Chippewa County Board approved Resolution 31‑26 on a unanimous voice vote (19–0) to appoint Melissa Grill as the county's successor treasurer on Sept. 8. County administrator Alvarado explained the executive committee reviewed nine applications and selected Grill; the resolution includes a temporary chief deputy treasurer role starting Sept. 28 to allow two weeks of overlap with outgoing treasurer Patty Schimel.
