Vernon County coroner reports 26 deaths in April; most were natural
The coroner told the board there were 26 deaths in April 2026: 16 male, 10 female; 21 cremations and 5 burials. Causes included mostly natural deaths, with one suicide, one accidental death and one pending determination.

The county coroner presented April 2026 statistics: 'For April 2026, there were 26 deaths. 16 were male, 10 were female, 21 cremations, 5 burials.' The presenter said 100% of those cases were coroner cases requiring follow-up and sign-off.
