County Manager Thomas Weaver told the commission he will present several SPLOST and tourism-funded project proposals at the next work session and expects to provide preliminary cost estimates. Projects discussed include construction of a dock at Riverbend Park, restroom facilities for the King Street basketball court, and a Welcome Center at City Hall. Weaver said the county has contacted a dredging company to evaluate sand accumulation at the boat ramp and determine whether local action is appropriate or whether to await Army Corps of Engineers assistance.
