City posts FY2025 audit delay; estimates completion Sept. 30, 2026

City staff presented a required audit statement under Code of Virginia §15.2-2511 noting the City of Colonial Heights’ audit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025 is pending. The statement attributed the delay principally to an incomplete FY2023 audit and additional audit work required after a recent financial system conversion that delayed year-end close and subsequent audit activities for FY2024 and FY2025.
