The Richland R‑1 Board of Education voted unanimously on Aug. 9, 2026, to approve a conflict-of-interest ordinance. Board member Jeremy Conner moved the ordinance and board member Hollie Wheeler seconded; Board President Dennis McGarity recorded the vote as seven yeas and zero nays and declared the motion carried.
