Lead-service verification, Dawna Drive replacement move toward construction
City Engineer Glenn Davis said the final phase of the Lead Service Verification Project has a bid opening set for July 30, and the Dawna Drive water main replacement — following 12 breaks in 15 years — is scheduled to be bid this week with construction expected to finish by about Nov. 20.

City Engineer Glenn Davis told the Public Service Committee that the Lead Service Verification Project is in its final phase and that its bid opening is scheduled for July 30. Davis noted the last procurement attracted the widest range of bidders to date, with amounts recorded in the minutes as from "$300X to $900X." The department will proceed based on the results of the current bidding round.
