Sep 9, 2026

MSA project manager Drew told the board that Cascade Falls Trail is substantially complete, proposed reducing retainage from 5% to 2.5% but holding that amount (about $30,000) until spring to ensure restoration and erosion controls, and said a pay application missed the meeting deadline and will likely appear in October.

The full story

MSA project representative Drew provided an update on the Cascade Falls Trail project and recommended holding retainage while the contractor completes punch-list and restoration items. Drew reminded the board that pay application 4 had previously been approved, that the board had withheld 14 days of liquidated damages and that an additional 15 days could be assessed on future pay applications if appropriate. He said the contractor’s pay application for this meeting missed the submission deadline and would likely be presented at the October meeting.
