Commissioners approve multiple grants and transfers including $750,000 highway grant
The board voted unanimously to accept a slate of grants and new funds, including a $750,000 Highway grant and several sheriff and EMA awards, and approved multiple departmental transfers totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars.

At the June 25 meeting commissioners approved a package of grants and new funds presented by the Budget Committee. Notable items included an Election grant of $103,535.97, several sheriff grants ($52,590.63; $134,527.97; $115,000.00; $75,000.00; $25,528.17), an EMA grant of $53,437.67, Parks & Rec funding of $10,000.00 and a Highway grant line item of $750,000.00. The motion to take items 7.13—7.22 together was moved and approved by unanimous voice vote.
