Adams County board recommends Iowa DNR approve J Cooper Farms construction permit
At an Aug. 31 public hearing the Adams County Board of Supervisors heard one comment about past hog-raising practices, recorded there were no written objections, and voted 5-0 to submit a recommendation on the J Cooper Farms animal feeding operation permit to the Iowa DNR.

The Adams County Board of Supervisors opened a public hearing at 9:20 AM on Aug. 31 to consider a construction permit application for an animal feeding operation at the J Cooper Farms, LLC site in Section 1 of Prescott Township. There were no written or oral objections recorded, and one attendee raised concerns about past hog-raising practices and where the product would be sold.
