The Dallas County Conservation Board approved a special-event application from the Iowa Bicycle Coalition for the Baccoon Ride on June 20, 2026, scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Event organizer Katie Bowden is coordinating the ride, which is expected to attract about 2,000 participants and will utilize trails in Dallas and Guthrie counties with stops in Perry, Dawson, Linden, Adel, Redfield and Waukee.
