The applicant proposes a roughly 1,400 sq ft AFA Heritage Gallery at 1501 Langston Boulevard that will preserve the Doolittle legacy wall, include meeting space for local civic groups and open the adjacent conservation easement as a publicly accessible wayside in partnership with the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust.

As part of the redevelopment of 1501 Langston Boulevard, the applicant proposes a roughly 1,409‑square‑foot Air & Space Force Association Heritage Gallery on the ground floor that will include exhibits, meeting space and the preserved Doolittle legacy wall. Applicant counsel described the gallery as a commitment the owner made to the AFA when it vacated the site; the space would have direct access from a pedestrian plaza onto the Custis Trail and be available for civic associations.
