The Imperial County Planning Commission approved Initial Study 25-0037, a Department of Public Works project to replace the Brant Road bridge over the Alamo River roughly 2.5 miles southwest of Calipatria. Planner Luzio Carrano presented the project scope: a single-span prestressed concrete bridge, two 12-foot travel lanes and 4-foot shoulders on the existing alignment, with all construction activity to remain within the county right-of-way.
