At the workshop several attendees voiced strong objections to the proposed CEQA procedure updates, saying the edits could narrow opportunities to raise concerns and to challenge approvals. Public commenter Jake Tyson told the board the changes felt intended to "teach citizens how how easily their participation can be disqualified," arguing CEQA is "an information disclosure law, not a government obstacle course."
