Bill Burnham, president of the Tree Board, told commissioners the board was created by town ordinance in 1991 and has advised on public-lands plantings across Onancock, from the town square to Oneancock Landing Park. He described collaborative projects with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and the Center for Watershed Protection and listed recent plantings (wax myrtles, Spartina cordgrass and a bald cypress).
