Committee authorizes RFP for parks mowing; autonomous mowers may be proposed
The committee recommended a sealed-proposal process for mowing services for city parks after parks staff said the current contract expired; members discussed whether autonomous mowing equipment would be allowed as part of proposals.

Parks staff told the committee the city's mowing contract for park properties has reached its contractual limit and the city needs to re-solicit a competitive contract. "This is the mowing contract that we've had or our current mowing contract that we've had for the last several years is now expiring," the parks presenter said.
