Jennifer Memon, a parent, told the board she was speaking on behalf of a petition from 963 parents and an advocacy group called Purposeful Tech, asking the district to pause use of generative AI for students. She said the board earlier indicated there was no AI available to elementary and middle-school students, but that "Google AI overview, which is a generative AI tool, continues to be accessible on elementary and middle school Chromebooks."
