Committee authorizes transfers and amortization extension to align pension groups' funding

Staff explained the proposal to use unassigned fund balance to add a five-year amortization extension for two pension groups that had not been extended (animal control and central dispatch supervisors). The presentation noted there is roughly $300,000 in a surplus group that can be transferred to improve funded ratios countywide.
