Brandy (staff) described a Department of Labor "stand down" grant opportunity intended to host two large events to enroll Eaton County veterans in benefits and provide services such as health screening, job assistance, meals and winter clothing. "The flat line is $10,000 that if we apply, we're likely to get," she said, adding that a federal disaster declaration within a specified timeframe could make the county eligible for $50,000.
