Meridian warns Anthem Medicaid exit could affect about 400 Henry County patients
Meridian Health Services told the county council that Anthem plans to terminate Meridian’s Medicaid contract, a move Meridian said would affect roughly 400 Henry County patients (about 3,500 visits) and about 11,000 patients statewide; the provider is pursuing negotiation, legal review and legislative outreach.

Seth Warren, CEO of Meridian Health Services, told the Henry County Council that Anthem has notified Meridian it will terminate Meridian’s Medicaid contract at the end of July and that the change will have a local impact. "Here in, Henry County, that would affect about 400 patients or 3,500 visits," Warren said.
