Harford County details elementary-school SRO coverage, emphasizes community ties

Deputy First Class Justin Meistering, one of Harford County’s roving elementary school resource officers, said the county uses four roving SROs to cover all elementary schools rather than assigning an officer to each building. "We have 4 roving elementary school officers that cover all the elementary schools in our jurisdiction," he said, adding that the officers’ work focuses on ensuring safety and building positive relationships with students and families.
