Harrison hears infrastructure update; council accepts $508,156 RV-park grant

HMH Engineering reported Harrison's water project is complete and work continues on a lift station and force main; the council accepted a $508,156 state grant for RV park improvements and heard that a moratorium is expected to lift by the end of 2028.

Jesse Herndon of HMH Engineering told the Harrison City Council the city’s water project has been completed and that crews continue work on the lift station and force main projects. He said the development moratorium is anticipated to be lifted by the end of 2028 and noted a manganese grant to address brown-water issues; HMH referenced a roughly $500,000 award for RV-park improvements.
