During the budget workshop, several elected officials requested that Clerk 1 positions be reclassified to Clerk 2 for employees who perform additional duties. Department leaders described specialized tasks that distinguish Clerk 2 work, such as title processing and dealer transactions, which carry added responsibilities and audit exposure.
