District facilities update: playgrounds finished, stadium and elementary projects ongoing

Brent Stanford, executive director of support services, briefed the board on district construction projects. He said Eastridge, Shutman, Wooden and Shields playgrounds are complete, Red Oak Elementary is about 25% finished, the softball complex is approximately 90% complete and the baseball complex is about 50% complete. "Right now, we're on schedule," Stanford said, and added the district is coordinating with architects Corgan and Joris on larger projects.
