The Plano Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously Sept. 8 to adopt policy AEA (local), the district's statement of educational philosophy and commitment to equity. Deputy Superintendent Celinda Freeman presented the policy on second reading, saying it establishes district expectations that every student have an equal opportunity to participate in and benefit from district programs within a safe, supportive environment.
