Deputy Speaker Kevin Easley seconded a nomination from Councilwoman Black Fox Qualls nominating Councilor Joshua Sam to a second term as council secretary. With no other nominations offered, the committee voted by voice and the chair announced that "That motion carries," confirming Joshua Sam's election to the office for a second term.
