County enforcement staff told the Henry County Board of Commissioners on June 10 that a long‑running deterioration at a motel on Highway 3 has progressed to an immediate safety concern. "One of the mezzanines fell on one side of the building," the presenter said, and staff described a large hole above a pool area, delaminating concrete on the south building and missing attic fire-blocking that could let a fire spread rapidly.
