Board approves enforcement and reinspection policy changes, new pre-inspection checklist
Health department staff won approval for revisions to the agent program policy enabling administrative coordination on complex enforcement cases, adopted a pre-inspection checklist, and approved edits to the agent application including setting the bakery inspection fee at $100.

Staff presented a 63-page agent program policy update, noting two remediations and proposed language to give the administrative coordinator authority to coordinate decisions on complex enforcement cases. The director said some priority-1 violations (for example, lack of running hot water) may require immediate closure: "It has to be shut down," she said, explaining that staff will not always need to call counsel in those cases.
