Chairman Charles Coffey opened a public hearing March 3 on a conditional-use permit (CUP) application to allow a hunting camp on a 534.70-acre parcel at 468 Manta Rd in an A1 zoning district. The applicant, Jose Perez, told the commission he has used the site for 14 years and "was not aware they needed a CUP and now that I know, I am getting one." The hearing was livestreamed and drew comments from neighbors and commissioners.
