Chair Gruich and planning staff presented and approved a plot plan to expand the Desert Hills Outlet. Staff described a physical connection of the east and west portions, demolition of western commercial buildings, construction of two multi‑tenant retail buildings, 15 new retail/storage structures and a new surface parking lot with 283 spaces; staff said the expansion would increase the shopping center’s floor area by approximately 47,915 square feet. "The development and the improvements would include an increase of the total floor area of the existing regional commercial retail center that would be by approximately 47,915 square feet," staff said during the presentation.
