Planning Commission voted to forward the Riverside County 2026 Climate Action Plan update and an EIR addendum to the Board of Supervisors after hearing staff and consultant presentations showing the draft meets state targets and introduces an updated screening/consistency checklist for CEQA review.

The Planning Commission on Sept. 2 recommended that the Board of Supervisors consider an addendum to EIR No. 05/21 and adopt the Riverside County 2026 Climate Action Plan (CAP) update. Victoria Gomez, staff lead, introduced the update and Michael Baker International consultants presented the technical analysis.
