Town schedules PFAS testing, sanitary survey and pump inspections for water system

Administrator Aiken announced P‑fast (PFAS) sampling through Wyoming DEQ with results expected after ~28 days, an EPA sanitary survey on May 14, and a plan to inspect and budget for replacement pumps and meters as some residential meters are not reading.

Town Administrator Trevor Aiken told the council the town took part in free P‑fast (PFAS) testing offered by Wyoming DEQ; samples were collected and require refrigeration and processing time, so results are expected roughly a month later. Aiken said the EPA will conduct a sanitary survey of the water system on May 14, and the town also accepted free metals testing offered by DEQ to anticipate future EPA regulations.
