The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners approved an exceptional-circumstance award (one-step pay increase) under personnel rule 17.9b for employee Katie Aileri on May 5. County HR explained the adjustment is corrective: two supervisors were recently promoted and the increase prevents those newly promoted employees from leapfrogging Aileri's pay rate despite her longer tenure.
