The Novi Community School District Governance & Policy Committee of the Whole voted Aug. 17, 2026 to remove the minimum 10-year service requirement for the district's Voluntary Separation Program (VSP). Secretary Jason Michener moved the measure; the minutes record the motion as: "Secretary Michener moved that the Novi Community School District Board of Education remove the minimum requirement of 10 years for the VSP (Voluntary Separation Program)."
