During Mayor's Call for Visitors, Sergeant Justin Qualls of the Norton Police Department personally and on behalf of the department thanked council for the Christmas bonus and the ongoing support the department receives. Qualls asked to shake council members' hands as an expression of gratitude; Mayor Joseph Fawbush responded that "this council that represents the citizens of Norton deeply appreciates the work Norton Police Department does to ensure the safety of the City of Norton."
