The full story
The zoning administrator approved two administrative permits on Sept. 10, 2026. Item 3a (Administrative Permit 2025-0002) permits a reduction of the required commercial cannabis setback from 100 feet to 50 feet at 19865 South Main Street in Willits; staff cited CEQA section 15305 (Class 5) and agency reviews that staff said were satisfied after plan revisions. Item 3b (Administrative Permit 2026-0016) allows conversion of an existing 1,200 sq ft second residence at 7406 Sam’s Lane, Redwood Valley, into a temporary family care unit; staff cited CEQA section 15301 and referrals that raised no blocking concerns.
