Henry County redevelopment commission outlines RFP for 30,000-sq-ft shell building and salvage opportunity
A Redevelopment Commission representative told the council the RDC plans to issue an RFP for a 30,000-square-foot shell building on a 40-acre site near County Road 400 South, with a separate 94-acre parcel now shovel-ready; the RDC will publish a salvage solicitation for structures prior to demolition.

A representative speaking on behalf of the County Redevelopment Commission, later addressed as Corey in the meeting, briefed the council on economic development activity along County Road 400 South. He said the RDC plans to advertise a build-operate-transfer (BOT) procurement for a 30,000-square-foot shell building expandable to 120,000 square feet, with proposals due June 25 and decision by the RDC expected by late July or early August.
