City to color-code hydrants, add reflective bands and upload hydrant data
Public-works staff said hydrants will be painted and fitted with reflective bands, and hydrant records will be uploaded to Silversmith with about 60 already entered; crews will begin flushing once data are linked.

Staff told the council the city plans to color-code hydrants by flow-rating, add reflective bands to improve nighttime visibility and upload hydrant information into the Silversmith system. "And I did get I got some bands also, the reflective bands that'll go on the hydrants too," the staff member said.
